The lost pictures

And here's the pictures I was missing the other day

First unit of seaguard
So these i'm done with, i only need some gloss vanish on the bases to make them look more wet and muddy and then some static grass
Note they have grayer cloaks than the half finished ones

And the same unit from the other side
And thats all for today

Until next time

Children of Nagarythe

Lo folks long time no see. I've been busy first with my final exams of the spring semester and then working for the National Maritime Museum for a month. But now I'm back.

Well time to show my High elfs and the progress I've made with them.
 First Regiment of 'Seaguard'
Some of you will recognize this shot from my plog over at Warseer, I figured since i havent posted them here i might as well do that to show where I was last time.

Second old shot, and last one I promise
And this is the second 'seagurd' regiment. Ok what has happened since last time? Well I'm finished with the first regiment but i was really certain i already has shot of that so i didnt do any, unfortunatly i didnt have any so i'll just put those up tomorrow.

And here's the second unit today, in daylight, I gotta admit that daylight beats the hell out of my old desk-chair lamp.
No i haven gotten very far, i'm a slow painter and as i said i've been quite busy.

A close up of one of the spearmen no hsi skin isnt unpainted, its painted gray adn washed with reikland fleshtone. it looks alot better in real life.
Also note that the legs come from a dark elf spearmen, i originally salvaged some parts from a few dark elf models i had laying around when I ran out of high elf parts, but i kind of liked the idea that shadow warriors would salvage equipment from dead foes when their own got to worn out to use, or that it was old relics that had been handed down since before the sundering.

This guy is not a high elf i know, but i tend to get distracted (I know i promised not to)
I havent painted him i bought him on tradera (swedish ebay) and intend to use him to convert into my fallen chaos sorcerer. removing the paint maybe covering up some of the armour detail with green stuff and swapping the axe for a sword. The armour will propably be dark green and the hair wings and scrolls bright white as contrast.

Here's another case of me getting distracted.

Its nearly the entire ork content of the assult on black reach box. I Orginally just bought the deffkoptas since i liked the models then a evil voice in my head (i'm pretty sure it was mork, cunning but brutal you know) commanded me to gather enough orks to make a playable army and being weak minded i quoted Tenacious D and said "Ok" (those who have listened to Tribute get the joke) and then i quoted Barney Stinson and said "Challenge accepted" and it kind of spiralled from there. Well now i only need some kind of truk for them too... No must finish high elfs.

This guy isnt a high elf either
But atleast this time i can say i didnt do it, or well i did but not now. 8 years ago (something like that) i played warhammer and warhammer 40k last time (think I mentioned it in my welcoming post) and i collected every shiny new army that came out, but that left me with loads of parts and this follow is one of many results. The horse was salvaged (I do an awful lot of Salvaging, well I salvage its what I do, its a gift) from a custom made Slaanesh knight (mutation sprue + empire knights) the body is from a chaos warrior the head comes from the old dwarf warrior box (my favourite warhammer bit ever, I'll never forgive them for replacing it).
He's made to look like Thor (the god not the superhero), I have a small chaos warriors army (well back then it was hordes of chaos) all norsed up with heads from dwarfs and stuff like that. I also have a unit of dwarfs with chaos heads that is my chaos dwarfs. I'll show you pictures as I dig them up.
Until next time.
